Y’all. What is going on in our world? It’s almost too much to comprehend, isn’t it? We are taking it one day at a time over here because honestly, I can’t let my brain get too far ahead. So much has changed in the last 7 days, and I haven’t had the time to process it. We have squeezed an office into a bedroom, created a work space for two kids in a dining room, and thrown an area together in the kitchen for me to film some videos for my students. Toss a sick, teething baby who had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic into this week and you get quite a whirlwind!!
Several friends have talked about stocking up on activities to keep their kids busy. Now, this is something I can do! I’ve kept a stash of treats and goodies under my bed and in our attic for years. My oldest is a craft junkie and I’ve also picked little kits up here and there. However, it is hard to do this without leaving the house. There are also concerns about where products are made or where they are shipping from. Thankfully, our hometown has an amazing new business, Simply Blessed Kids, which has plenty of safe, fun options for your kids.
Green Toys is an awesome company that uses recycled materials to produce high quality toys. They are made right here in the USA. I’ve seen these around for awhile, but they have expanded their line since my son was obsessed with construction vehicles. They have bath toys, airplanes, even an adorable tea set. I have seen and held these toys. These will be items your grand kids can play with. They are well made, sturdy, and great for the environment.
As I mentioned earlier, my oldest is a craft junkie. We have made our own soap, perfume, lotions, lip gloss, and even bath bombs. My kitchen countertops, dining room table, and bathroom linoleum all have a little evidence of her hobby. It stinks whenever you find a cool product that your kids are excited about and it ruins something in your house. (Don’t even get me started on the slime on the ceiling escapade last summer). This is why I am so excited to try out the Two Sisters Bath Bombs. These things won’t stain your tub (or kid)!! I have smelled the Berry Surprise and it was delightful. These bath bombs are made in the USA and include a surprise at the end of the fizz. Two Sisters have a wide variety of options from unicorn to ninjas. There is something for everyone!
